Adult Education

Jesus called disciples to follow him. In following him, they listened to his teaching and sought to incorporate it into their lives. Today, disciples of Jesus are still doing the same thing. They study his teaching and seek to incorporate it into their lives. Westminster offers several educational opportunities for members and friends to grow in knowledge and faith.

Each Sunday morning at 10:00 A.M from September to June, adults meet in Fellowship Hall for a class which considers many different topics in 4-6 week series. Formats and topics include: Bible study, basic Christian doctrine, faith issues, video series, and book studies. Facilitation of this class is shared by a group of trained core teachers.

The slides from the recent series on Universalism presented in Adult Ed may be found here.

Recognizing that spiritual growth takes more than 50 minutes a week, Westminster offers 2 teacher-led classes throughout the week:

Digging Deeper

An in depth Bible Study with homework that uses study books from a variety of teachers such as Beth Moore, Timothy Keller, Philip Yancy and others, to help men and women grow in discipleship each Tuesday evening (September through June) at 6:30 P.M. at the church.

Horizons Bible Study

A monthly Bible Study for women that uses the Horizons magazine Bible study from the Presbyterian Church (USA) and meets the 2nd Thursday of the month (September thru May) at 10:00 A.M. in Classroom #2.
