Sunday School - Children/Youth

Regular Sunday School (September-June) begins each week with a whole group presentation in Classroom #6 and then moves to mixed-age groups where, through Bible study, skits, music, craft projects, and games, the Good News of Jesus Christ as Savior is presented. The rotational curriculum currently used is written and developed in-house by Joy Wendling. Children and youth are not only encouraged to know the stories and people of the Bible, they are encouraged to discover their own faith, and apply biblical teaching to their own lives. Parents are also encouraged to learn the Life Verse, read the Bible story, and share with WPC how their child is applying the Sunday School lessons to their daily life.  Classes are for provided for children 3 years through High School.

Special activities during the year also include:

  • Tall Timber Scholarship Auction-supporting kids going to camp
  • Pentecost Party-celebrating the Birthday of the Church
  • Rally Day-back to regular Sunday School after August vacation
  • Reformation Sunday-celebrating our Reformed heritage
  • Angel Breakfast-celebrating the beginning of Advent
  • Christmas Art Show-kids get to present the gospel message of Christmas!
