Annual Mission Trip

Since 1998, Westminster has planned a yearly Mission Trip.  Trip locations have included: Pelican, AK (remodeling a church); Eastern Washington (helping a camp prepare for the summer); Ganado, Arizona (working on the Navajo Reservation); Spokane, WA (working with the Union Gospel Mission); Agua Prieta, Mexico (engaging in border ministry); Concrete, WA (remodeling a church); Mt. Myers, FL (ECHO Farm); Biloxi, MS (rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina); Tall Timber Ranch, Leavenworth, WA; and Esperanza Camp, Vancouver Island, BC, (camp remodeling).  Additionally, we have sent teams to local areas to address immediate needs such as Quaker Cove and “Our Town Our Park” in Anacortes.

For every Mission Trip there is a GO Team and a SEND team.  The GO Team is made up of individuals varying in age, ability, and gender who are able to take time in their schedule to be away from home for a week.  The SEND Team helps support the GO Team by supporting them financially, praying for them, sending encouraging messages, and listening to their stories when they return.

Our mission trips are productive, fun, and fulfilling.  We are blessed in the doing as much as the people we help are blessed with the work accomplished.  Trips allow us to put our faith into action, share the hope we have in Jesus Christ, and get to know other members of the church in a more personal way!
